After Collecting 1,497 Independent Blogs, I Built indi.blog
chinese-independent-blogs is a repository of Chinese independent blogs.
People often say that "the era of independent blogs is long gone." But strangely, this project has kept growing organically. It now has 24k stars on GitHub, and bloggers submit their own blogs almost every week.

Maybe the era of independent blogs isn't over after all. Perhaps it never will be—at least, not until the internet itself is gone.
So I built a website for the project: indi.blog
The site subscribes to every independent blog with an RSS feed, and lets users like and comment on posts. On the homepage, I use a ranking algorithm similar to Hacker News to help surface higher-quality posts. With this many blogs, there are dozens of new posts every day and hundreds every week—enough to make it worth dropping by and browsing now and then.
